    Cheerleading Tryouts

    Students interested in being a part of Sacred Heart University Cheerleading for fall 2018 are invited to campus for tryouts on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the William H. Pitt Center! Check-in begins at 9:30 AM and tryouts will go until approximately 4:00 PM.

    SHU Cheerleading is comprised of 2 teams: the Red Team (competitive) and the White Team (game team/some competition.) A pre-season team of 48 members will be chosen at tryouts. Those chosen will be required to submit a $180 non-refundable deposit (made payable to Sacred Heart University Cheer or SHU Cheer) on Saturday, April 28.

    Arrive dressed to impress in SHU colors and wear cheerleading sneakers. No refreshments will be provided so we recommend bringing water and a snack - no nuts please! In addition, all participants must have had a physical within 12 months of the tryout date and provide proof upon arrival as well as a copy of his or her insurance card (front and back) and a signed release form which can be printed and completed in advance.
